Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking an After School Club Assistant to join a busy primary school in Moseley, Birmingham.

This casual, part-time role runs 3pm to 6pm on working days. You will support after-school activities, supervise pupils and help create a safe, engaging end-of-day environment. A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning and 6+ months experience are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• 6+ months experience in a primary school or with primary-aged children.
• Able to commit to 3pm–6pm on working days.
• Two recent employer references required.
• Has a DBS on the Update Service or willing to complete a new DBS check.
• Warm, proactive and child-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the school's After School Club from 3pm to 6pm (essential hours).
• Set up activities and supervise pupils.
• Encourage positive play and ensure a safe, fun end-of-day environment.

Are you energetic, reliable and great with primary-aged children? TeacherActive is looking for a committed After School Club Assistant to support a busy, welcoming primary school in Moseley.

This is a casual/part-time agency role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants consistent after-school hours that fit around the rest of their day.

About the role:

You’ll be supporting the school's After School Club from 3pm to 6pm (essential hours), helping to set up activities, supervise pupils, encourage positive play and ensure a safe, fun environment at the end of the school day.

The ideal candidate:

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
• Has 6+ months experience working in a primary school or with primary-aged children
• Is able to commit to 3pm to 6pm on working days
• Can provide two recent employer references
• Has a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to complete a new DBS check
• Brings a warm, proactive and child-focused approach
