Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an energetic After School Club Assistant for a busy primary school in Moseley, Birmingham. This casual/part-time agency role runs from 3pm to 6pm, with flexible hours to fit around other commitments.

You will help set up activities, supervise pupils and promote a safe, engaging after-school environment. The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 qualification, has about six months experience with primary-aged children, can provide two references, and is happy to undertake a DBS

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• Has 6 months experience working in a primary school or with primary-aged children.
• Able to commit to 3pm to 6pm on working days.
• Can provide two recent employer references.
• Has a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to complete a new DBS check.
• Brings a warm, proactive and child-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the school’s After School Club from 3pm to 6pm (essential hours).
• Help set up activities and supervise pupils.
• Encourage positive play and ensure a safe, fun environment at the end of the school day.
