Job description

Afterschool Care (ASC) Lead - Busbridge Infant School & Nursery

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and organised Afterschool Care (ASC) Lead to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children and creating a safe, engaging and enjoyable environment for pre-school and infant-aged children at the end of the school day.

As ASC Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the afterschool provision, ensuring children are well cared for and actively engaged in a variety of fun, creative and stimulating activities. You will build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, promote children's wellbeing, and ensure high standards of safeguarding, health and safety are maintained at all times.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and able to work independently while leading the provision and creating a welcoming environment where children can relax, play and thrive after their day. You will be committed to delivering high-quality childcare experiences and encouraging children to develop confidence, independence and positive social skills through play and structured activities.

The role is 9 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 3:15pm to 6:00pm, term time only.
