Job summary

Junior Adventures Group UK is hiring a Childcare Activity Leader for our Breakfast & After School Clubs in Maidstone. You will lead fun, age-appropriate activities for children aged 4–11, delivering energy, smiles and safe play.

This split-shift role runs 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm, with potential extra hours during Holiday Club seasons. Term-time contract offers flexible, part-time hours and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Loves working with children and brings a positive, can-do attitude.
• Creative thinker who turns ordinary afternoons into magical experiences.
• Team player who can lead activities when needed.
• Bonus if you have teaching, coaching, childcare or youth work experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate activities such as multi-sports and arts & crafts.
• Set up engaging play spaces and keep things safe and clean.
• Supervise children with warmth, inclusivity and care.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out with a friendly touch.
• Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm.
• Be a team player and take the lead when required.

At Junior Adventures Group, we’re not just childcare, we’re champions of fun! From football to face painting, scavenger hunts to snack time, you'll bring smiles, laughter, and energy to our Breakfast & After School Clubs for children aged 4–11.
This role is split shift, meaning you'll work mornings and afternoons, with a break in between (great for studying, hobbies, family, or even a nap!). You’ll also have the opportunity to increase your hours during Holiday Club seasons and Lunchtime Cover.

What you'll do day-to-day:

• Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities like multi-sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play.
• Set up engaging play spaces and keep things safe, clean, and awesome.
• Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe, and included.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out processes with a friendly face and attention to detail.
• Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm, perfect for work-life balance or those seeking part-time fun!
• Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.
