Job summary

Junior Adventures Group in Walsall is seeking a Childcare Activity Leader to run morning and after-school activities for children aged 4–11. The role features split shifts (7:30–9:00am, 3:00–6:00pm) and opportunities to increase hours during Holiday Club seasons.

You will deliver engaging activities, supervise with care, and help create a safe, fun environment for every child.

Qualifications

• Loves working with children and brings a positive, can-do attitude.
• Creative thinker who can turn ordinary afternoons into magical experiences.
• Team player who can also lead activities and manage groups.
• Bonus points for experience in teaching, coaching, childcare, or youth work.

Responsibilities

At Junior Adventures Group, we’re not just childcare, we’re champions of fun! From football to face painting, scavenger hunts to snack time, you'll bring smiles, laughter, and energy to our Breakfast & After School Clubs for children aged 4–11.
This role is split shift, meaning you'll work mornings and afternoons, with a break in between (great for studying, hobbies, family, or even a nap!). You’ll also have the opportunity to increase your hours during Holiday Club seasons and Lunchtime Cover.

What you'll do day-to-day:

• Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities like multi-sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play.
• Set up engaging play spaces and keep things safe, clean, and awesome.
• Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe, and included.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out processes with a friendly face and attention to detail.
• Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm, perfect for work-life balance or those seeking part-time fun!
• Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.
