Job summary

Junior Adventures Group in Croydon is seeking an energetic Childcare Activity Leader for Park Hill Juniors School. The role is split shifts, mornings and afternoons, with a 20-hour week and a term-time contract.

You’ll run fun, safe activities for children aged 4–11, including Breakfast & After School Clubs, with opportunities to increase hours in Holiday Club seasons. The position offers a friendly team, paid training, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare or youth work.
• Ability to lead activities and supervise children.
• Creative thinker who can turn ordinary mornings/afternoons into adventures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities like multi-sports, arts & crafts, group games, and creative play.
• Set up engaging play spaces and keep things safe, clean, and awesome.
• Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe, and included.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out processes with a friendly face and attention to detail.
• Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm, for work-life balance.
• Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.

Operational Hours: Monday - Friday 07:30 - 09:00 & 15:30 - 18:00
Hours: 20 hours a week
Pay: Up to £12.71

At Junior Adventures Group, we’re not just childcare, we’re champions of fun! From football to face painting, scavenger hunts to snack time, you'll bring smiles, laughter, and energy to our Breakfast & After School Clubs for children aged 4–11.
This role is split shift, meaning you'll work mornings and afternoons, with a break in between (great for studying, hobbies, family, or even a nap!). You’ll also have the opportunity to increase your hours during Holiday Club seasons and Lunchtime Cover.

What we’re looking for:

• Someone who loves working with children and brings a positive, can-do attitude

• A team player who’s also confident running activities and managing a group
• Bonus points if you have experience in teaching, coaching, childcare, or youth work (but not essential, personality goes a long way!)
