Job summary

Capgemini Engineering are seeking Stress Engineers with knowledge of non-conformance in aerospace/marine backgrounds. You will assess non-conformances on turbine blades, vanes, segment liners and engine components, evaluating impact on design intent and airworthiness.

You will develop concession disposals, perform hand calculations and FE analyses to support engineering decisions. The role requires degree-qualified engineers with experience in aero-engine components, manufacturing

Qualifications

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience in stress analysis and structural assessment of aerospace components.
Experience with manufacturing non-conformances, concessions, repairs in aerospace.

Responsibilities

Assess the impact of non-conformances on turbine blades, vanes, segment liners, and engine components.
Evaluate manufacturing and in-service deviations and their effects on integrity and life.
Develop and justify concession and repair dispositions with robust rationale.
Perform hand calculations to support judgments and validate assumptions.
Conduct finite element analyses to evaluate stress, fatigue, and life implications.
