Job summary

Rolls-Royce Derby is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Aerospace Procurement to join our onsite team. You will lead supplier industrialisation, APQP/PPAP processes, and cross‑category oversight, leveraging Net Inspect and Power BI to drive readiness and reporting.

The role demands strong supplier engagement, a focus on cost reduction, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across complex supply chains.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering or related discipline with significant manufacturing engineering experience in a complex environment.
• Strong supplier-facing or procurement manufacturing engineering background with track record of resolving manufacturing and cost challenges.
• Demonstrable experience of supplier industrialisation, manufacturing readiness, including APQP/PPAP and supplier capability assessments.
• Excellent analytical skills with experience using manufacturing engineering tools for industrialisation, problem solving and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Industrialisation: manage supplier industrialisation plans and cross-category oversight; develop enterprise knowledge, skills and reporting tooling.
• Collaboration: engage internal and external networks across Procurement, Quality, Design, Project Engineering and suppliers.
• Product Cost: support and drive technical product cost reduction activities; coordinate ideas and resources to meet targets.
• Technology: support existing and future technology programmes; act as a point of contact for troubleshooting within Procurement.
• Technical: identify and resolve technical barriers to industrialisation through interventions.
• Strategy: identify opportunities to deliver business targets through existing strategies and new opportunities.
