Job summary

Safran Seats in the UK (Wales) seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive design leadership across a team of Senior and Design Engineers. You will plan and coordinate all design activities to ensure on-time delivery and support programme milestones.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and extensive experience with Catia and PLM. You will engage with cross-functional teams and contribute to governance and technical audits across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, clearly define expectations and align with stakeholders.
• Strong problem solving for complex programmes.
• Leadership to engage and motivate teams across functions.
• Ability to advise and influence across departments.
• Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering or equivalent with extensive design experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all design activities to ensure on-time delivery.
• Provide support to Program chief engineers.
• Participate in MER/Technical Audits.
• Develop tools, processes and methods for design deliverables.
• Report/forecast status and KPIs.
• Support ITCM, PDR and CDR when required.
• Audit design engineering deliverables.
• Lead regular governance meetings to assign tasks.
