Job summary

Safran Engineering Services UK Limited is seeking a systems engineer to lead the development of electrical power generation, distribution and propulsion systems for aircraft. The role involves defining requirements, leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.

You will manage the full lifecycle from concept through certification, providing technical leadership and coordinating with customers, suppliers and internal teams at the Pitstone Centre of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
• Experience with aircraft systems or safety-critical products.
• Knowledge of ARP4754 is desirable.
• Familiarity with requirements flow-down and verification activities.
• Experience leading reviews and customer meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead system engineering work packages to meet schedule, budget and quality.
• Define and manage system requirements with customers and teams.
• Develop architectures, perform analyses and support integration.
• Oversee subsystem development and requirements flow-down.
• Lead verification, validation and compliance activities.
• Act as primary customer interface for system development decisions.
