Job summary
Safran Seats is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead and optimise the CMS, ensuring governance of product and programme configurations across the lifecycle. You will drive engineering change control, coordinate with Change and Programme Management, and align processes with group standards and regulatory requirements.
The role requires aviation background, CMII level knowledge, and PLM system experience. Based in the UK, with responsibilities spanning global programmes and safety-critical
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering (or HNC/HND) with relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles and best practices.
- Experience with PLM systems and aerospace/automotive standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and maintain the CMS, ensuring governance of configurations throughout their lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement of CMS with KPI reporting and regulatory alignment.
- Own and optimise the engineering change control process and Change Control Boards (CCBs).
- Standardise configuration and change practices aligned with group processes and best practice.
- Produce and maintain CM data and reports for lifecycle requirements.
