Job summary

Community Integrated Care is recruiting an Advanced Support Worker to assist a 30-year-old man in Broxburn who has autism, a learning disability, and epilepsy. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care in his own home and help promote independence through tailored daily support and engaging activities.

The role requires Level 3 in Social Care or relevant experience, with PBS and communication aids beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care environments.
• Strong communication and boundary-setting.
• Ability to work with adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Responsibilities

• Support with medication administration, personal care, shopping, cooking and daily tasks.
• Promote independence using social stories and choice.
• Redirect and use boundaries to manage challenging moments.
• Support engagement in community activities and hobbies.
