Job summary

Operose Health seeks an experienced ANP/ACP for maternity cover in Basingstoke. The role focuses on delivering high-quality primary care, with clinical leadership and collaborative working across the practice.

You will assess and manage care from presentation to outcome, underpinned by patient-centered values. The ideal candidate will be an NMC-registered nurse with advanced practice experience in primary care, ideally pursuing non-medical prescriber status, with preferred MSc ACP training.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Primary Care setting.
  • NMC registered nurse with advanced clinical practice working towards non-medical prescriber.
  • Minor injury and illness qualification essential and the ability to maintain and monitor standards of care.
  • Level 7 (MSc) Practitioner preferred; MSc to ACP status may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
  • Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care within general practice.
  • Collaborate with the general practice team to meet patient needs and support delivery of policies, procedures and nurse leadership as required.

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience
Hours: 30 (Maternity Cover till January 2027)

Role Responsibility

As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:

  • Provide care for presenting patient from initial history taking clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
  • You must demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within the general practice.
  • You will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership as required.
The Ideal Candidate

What we look for in new colleagues:

  • Experience in a Primary Care setting.
  • NMC registered nurse with advance clinical practice tor working towards non-medical prescriber.
  • Minor injury and illness qualification essential and the ability to maintain and monitor standards of care
  • It is preferred that the ideal candidates is a level 7 (MSc) Practitioner, although candidates with accreditation or a MSc course to ACP status may also be considered.
