Johnsons Cars in Solihull is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician to perform advanced diagnostics and fault-finding across a range of vehicles. You will use modern diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems to identify and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Strong diagnostic experience in a dealership or busy workshop.
• Confident using diagnostic tools and interpreting data.
• Experience with electrical fault-finding is highly desirable.
• High attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding on a range of vehicles.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems.
• Identify and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues.
• Support the workshop with technical expertise and guidance.
• Complete repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
• Accurately record diagnostic processes and completed work; perform health checks and identify additional work.
