Job summary

Johnsons Cars in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join Volkswagen Liverpool and support advanced diagnostics across a range of vehicles.

You will work with modern diagnostic equipment, record processes accurately, and benefit from a generous bonus scheme and ongoing manufacturer training, including EV diagnostics, with clear progression within the group.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Strong diagnostic experience within a dealership or busy workshop.
• Confident using diagnostic tools and interpreting data.
• Experience with electrical fault-finding (highly desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding across a range of vehicles.
• Using modern diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems.
• Identifying and resolving complex electrical and mechanical issues.
• Supporting the workshop with technical expertise and guidance when required.
• Completing repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
• Accurately recording diagnostic processes and completed work.
• Carrying out vehicle health checks (EVHC) and identifying additional work.

We’re recruiting an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Volkswagen Liverpool
