Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician for a busy main dealership in Solihull. The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, strong diagnostic ability, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out advanced vehicle diagnostics in a dealership or busy workshop.
• Strong fault-finding skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Confident use of diagnostic equipment and interpreting fault data.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist equipment.
• Complete repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Support Vehicle Technicians with complex technical issues.
• Perform electronic vehicle health checks (EVHCs) and identify additional work.
• Maintain accurate diagnostic reports and workshop records.
