Qualifications

• Experience carrying out advanced vehicle diagnostics in a dealership or busy workshop.
• Strong fault-finding skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Confident use of diagnostic equipment and interpreting fault data.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist equipment.
• Complete repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Support Vehicle Technicians with complex technical issues.
• Perform electronic vehicle health checks (EVHCs) and identify additional work.
• Maintain accurate diagnostic reports and workshop records.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Diagnostic Technician, Vehicle Diagnostic Technician or Automotive Technician to join a busy main dealership in Solihull. Applicants must have strong diagnostic experience within a dealership or busy workshop, hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.

Salary: Up to £39,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus

OTE: Up to £48,000+

Overtime: Paid, including Saturdays

Hours: Full Time

Diagnostic Technician Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ Diploma or equivalent)
• Previous diagnostic experience within a main dealership or busy automotive workshop
• Confident using diagnostic equipment and interpreting fault data
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
