Location: Steel Park (Wolverhampton) or Birmingham - hybrid (some travel to support with training activities)

The opportunity:

Working within our Engineering team you will develop and implement learning strategies and programs, design e-learning content, career plans and workshops. You will play a pivotal role in helping Zurich Engineering succeed by helping train and develop our people.

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who can mirror our values who is great at organising and able to prioritise workload and administer learning and development activities.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and administering our training programmes, ensuring that our employees receive the necessary training to perform their roles effectively. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for learning and development.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and schedule learning and development activities for internal and external customers including booking v enues and arranging materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and feedback.
  • Record and monitor renewable training courses.
  • Handle training-related inquiries and provide support to employees and managers.
  • Maintain learning databases, ensure all records are up to date and prepare reports as needed.
  • Create and maintain content for the Engineering Learning Management System & SharePoint sites.
  • Assist in the design and production of e-learning courses, workshops and other training activities.
  • Organise and support live training events including training workshops and new starter training programme
  • Organise, produce, and maintain training materials and ensure they are updated.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. Assist in the functional testing of web-based training to ensure quality assurance.
  • Support the Training Manager.
  • Support Compliance activities including safeguarding, health surveillance and security.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong focus on Zurich behaviours to support achievement of business results.
  • Demonstrates Drive, commitment and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent problem solver and with the ability to come up with innovative ideas.
  • Previous experience in a training coordinator/administrator role - desirable
  • Intermediate understanding of basic office applications, including MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Word).
  • Some exposure to advanced computer programmes (Adobe Acrobat and Articulate) or willingness to learn.
  • Able to expand knowledge and exchange it with team members and business partners.
  • Proactive and able to manage a varied workload and pressure.
  • Takes responsibility for personal and professional development.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
