Job Description:

Working Hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share and full-time basis

Location: Steel Park (Wolverhampton) or Birmingham - hybrid (some travel to support with training activities)

Closing Date: Tuesday 27th May 2025

The opportunity:

Working within our Engineering team, you will develop and implement learning strategies and programs, design e-learning content, career plans, and workshops. You will play a pivotal role in helping Zurich Engineering succeed by training and developing our people.

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who can mirror our values, is great at organizing, and can prioritize workload while administering learning and development activities.

The successful candidate will coordinate and administer our training programs, ensuring employees receive necessary training. This role requires excellent communication skills, multitasking ability, and a passion for learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule learning and development activities, including booking venues and arranging materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and feedback.
  • Record and monitor renewable training courses.
  • Handle training-related inquiries and support employees and managers.
  • Maintain learning databases, ensure records are up to date, and prepare reports.
  • Create and maintain content for the Engineering Learning Management System & SharePoint sites.
  • Assist in designing and producing e-learning courses, workshops, and other training activities.
  • Organize and support live training events, including workshops and new starter programs.
  • Update and produce training materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. Assist in web-based training quality assurance.
  • Support the Training Manager and compliance activities including safeguarding, health surveillance, and security.
Skills and Experience:
  • Strong focus on Zurich behaviors to support business results.
  • Drive, commitment, and enthusiasm.
  • Problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
  • Experience as a training coordinator/administrator (desirable).
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office; willingness to learn Adobe Acrobat and Articulate.
  • Ability to exchange knowledge with team members and partners.
  • Proactive, able to manage varied workloads under pressure.
  • Personal and professional development responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
