Job description

Administrator / Receptionist

Location: Medway

Salary: GBP 22,932 per annum plus benefits

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time

We are currently recruiting for an Administrator/Receptionist.

Role / Team overview

The Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive business administration support to the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service in Medway. The service delivers clinical and psychosocial interventions, group work, holistic therapies, and additional support for adults with substance misuse issues.

The main responsibility is to deliver administrative support and act as the front of house in a client-facing role.

Key tasks will include
  • Creating a welcoming environment in the reception and waiting area
  • Supporting clinic attendance management and appointment bookings
  • Handling queries from service users, the public, and professionals via face-to-face, telephone, or email interactions
  • Ensuring effective communication to direct information appropriately

You will also support the wider administrative team with data input, clinical administration, and maintaining communication with local partners.

Flexibility is required, including some evening/weekend shifts with reasonable notice, to ensure continuity of care for clients.

The ideal candidate will have
  • A business studies or administrative qualification (or be studying towards)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Experience supporting administration or working as a receptionist within a large team, especially in a pressured environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels and work independently
