Job summary

Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership is recruiting Band 2 Administrators to support a fixed-term GP Walk In Service pilot in Cowal. The role focuses on welcoming, directing and supporting patients and clinicians within a busy team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operation.

These posts are 12-month fixed-term contracts with 56 hours across posts, offering full-time, part-time and job-share arrangements to suit.flexible and meaningful work within a public health setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new, high-profile service designed to improve access to care, support local GP services and strengthen patient pathways across the community.

The successful post holders will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the service, providing welcoming, person-centred administrative support for patients, clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team.

You will be central to ensuring patients are received, directed and supported efficiently, helping the clinical team focus on delivering safe, responsive care.

These posts offer the chance to contribute to a developing model of primary care in a supportive team environment, where good organisation, clear communication and a compassionate approach will make a direct difference to patients and colleagues alike.

We are keen to hear from applicants with administrative experience, ideally within health, social care or another busy public-facing environment.

You should be confident dealing with people, able to prioritise competing demands and committed to providing a professional, helpful and respectful service.

The roles are fixed-term for 12 months, based at Cowal Community Hospital. A total of 56 hours is available across the posts, with full-time, part-time and job share arrangements considered, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking meaningful work with flexibility.
