Job summary

Hudson & Co is seeking a well-organised Administrator to join our Preston office. You will support day-to-day operations, answer calls, handle quotations and arrange travel for senior staff, while maintaining accurate records and coordinating with multiple departments.

The role requires proactive communication, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy office environment. Full-time, onsite position with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Answer and filter all incoming calls.
  • File and organise quotations for the Office Manager, Estimators and Business Development Team.
  • Arrange transport, including flights and accommodation, for the Managing Director and staff travelling on business.
  • Organise and book staff events.
  • Send and post product samples to clients and customers.
  • Monitor and respond to online chat enquiries and direct requests.
  • Carry out light general administrative duties to support the office and team.
  • Assist the Estimator with take-offs and general admin support.
  • Maintain organised records, files and documentation.
  • Provide general administrative support to management and other departments.

Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for a well-organised, reliable and proactive Administrator to join our team.

This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day running of the business. The successful candidate will be confident communicating with customers and colleagues, able to manage multiple tasks, and comfortable working in a busy office environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer and filter all incoming calls.
  • File and organise quotations for the Office Manager, Estimators and Business Development Team.
  • Arrange transport, including flights and accommodation, for the Managing Director and staff travelling on business.
  • Organise and book staff events.
  • Send and post product samples to clients and customers.
  • Monitor and respond to online chat enquiries. Full industry or product knowledge is not essential, as the role will primarily involve filtering messages and directing requests to the appropriate member of staff.
  • Carry out a range of light general administrative duties to support the office and wider team.
  • Assist the Estimator with take-offs and other administrative support where required.
  • Maintain organised records, files and documentation.
  • Provide general administrative support to management and other departments as required.
