Job summary

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking an Administrative Officer to provide efficient administrative support to the Molecular Diagnostics Department, ensuring confidential handling of donor and patient information and timely provision of diagnostic services.

You will join a dedicated team, carry out a range of office duties, data entry, filing and telephone duties, with flexible hours including weekends where required.

Qualifications

• Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths.
• Commitment to own Continued Professional Development (CPD).

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient administrative support to the department.
• Assist with a range of administrative duties/procedures as workload requires.
• Communicate with the public, NHSBT departments and external contacts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality handling patient and donor information.
• Receive and make telephone calls and respond to information requests.
• Maintain manual and electronic filing systems and general office duties.
