Job description

We are seeking to appoint an organised, adaptable and enthusiastic person to manage the administrative support within Helston Adult Education Centre and its associated Skills for Life Centres. The successful candidate will primarily be based at Helston but also work from the centres in Camborne and Penzance.

You will be responsible for the supervision of the Hub administration team, planning and prioritising a high volume of tasks and allocating the extremely varied duties the team perform. Acting as a professional point of contact via telephone, electronically or face to face you will also undertake examination administration, process enrolments and payments in addition to providing tutor and learner support. You will also undertake financial processes such as requisition of goods and collating payroll information and this role also involves aspects of premises management. You will also be required to provide support to the Area Coordinators.

Ideally you will hold NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject (Business Administration / Customer Care / IAG) or have at least 3years recent experience of working in an office environment some of which will have been in a supervisory role. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate high level English, maths and ICT skills and have their own transport.

Cornwall Adult Education is a community-based organisation maintained, although not funded, by Cornwall Council.
