About Our Client

  • Administrative Officer
  • Not-for-profit organisation
  • Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm
  • Based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, office-based
  • Occasional evening & weekend work may be required
  • Occasional travel within the Midlands or London Head Office may be required - expenses paid

Job Responsibilities

  • Support communication efforts, including website and newsletters
  • Assist lead volunteers with event preparation and administration
  • Respond to inquiries, research venues, manage bookings, chase payments, and reconcile finances
  • Arrange and support meetings, including minute-taking
  • Perform office administration tasks such as answering phones, managing post, and filing

The Successful Applicant

  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with volunteers and staff
  • Strong verbal communication skills for dealing with inquiries
  • Excellent written communication skills for emails, letters, minutes, and reports
  • Ability to manage budgets and perform financial reconciliations
  • Ability to work effectively with external partners and organizations
  • Knowledge of volunteering procedures is desirable
