Job summary

Hucknall Flying High Academy in Nottingham is seeking an experienced school administrator who can provide friendly, efficient support to families, staff and visitors. The role requires discretion, strong organisation and the ability to manage data and administrative tasks within our established systems.

You will handle records, financial processing and reports using Arbor and other IT tools, and contribute to a calm, welcoming front desk that reflects our inclusive ethos.

Qualifications

  • Good literacy and numeracy are required.
  • Experience in administrative roles.
  • Strong IT skills and data handling abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality admin support across the school, following established systems and processes.
  • Maintain accurate records for pupils, staff and finances.
  • Be the professional, welcoming first point of contact for families, visitors and external agencies.
  • Process orders and undertake financial procedures as required.
  • Produce reports and manage data using IT systems including Arbor.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding compliance at all times.
  • Support the wider office team and contribute to efficient school operations.

About the Role

You will be the first point of contact for families, visitors and staff, so a friendly, calm and professional manner is essential. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, handle confidential information with discretion and work efficiently within established systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality administrative support across the school, following established systems and processes
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including pupil, staffing and financial information
  • Act as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies
  • Undertake financial procedures such as processing orders
  • Produce reports and manage data accurately using a range of IT systems including Arbor
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Support the wider office team and contribute to the efficient running of the school
We are looking for someone who
  • Has a good standard of literacy and numeracy and relevant administrative experience
  • Is highly organised, efficient and able to manage a varied workload
  • Has strong IT skills and confidence working with data and management systems

Demonstrates professionalism, discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information

  • Communicates effectively with a wide range of people
  • Is flexible, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team
