Job summary

Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant (Grade 2) to support learning across the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and support staff to deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons and to nurture each child’s confidence and wellbeing.

You will support whole class, small groups, or 1:1 pupils, contribute to a nurturing, collaborative environment, and help promote safeguarding and positive behaviour as part of the Flying High

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role will involve supporting children across the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and wider school staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences and ensure all children are fully supported.

Whether you are supporting the whole class, working with small groups, or delivering 1:1 support for children with additional needs, your role will be crucial in helping every child feel safe, happy, and able to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities
Grade 2
  • Support pupils during teacher-led activities, encouraging independence and active participation.
  • Prepare and maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment, including assisting with displays and resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social development during learning and break times.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to support their learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality, uphold safeguarding procedures, and model the school’s values in all interactions.
