Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an Administrative Apprentice within the Child Health team. The role supports patient journeys from referral to treatment, under supervision, while developing Level 3 Business Administration skills.

You will join a busy team, assisting in appointments, referrals and patient information management, contributing to improved patient experience and safe, compassionate care within the NHS framework.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: UK resident for at least 3 consecutive years prior to start of apprenticeship.
• Visa: if required, must permit participation and cover full duration of contract.
• Experience in a customer-led environment is desirable.
• Competent with Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing an effective administrative service across the department.
• Work with colleagues, service users and stakeholders to support an efficient admin service.
• Deliver high standard of customer care via telephone and reception responsibilities.
• Promote NHS Trust values and patient-focused service.
