Job summary

Are you passionate about working alongside adults with a learning disability as part of a wider team? We have an opportunity for an Administrative Support person (Band 3) to join our friendly and motivated team in the Kirklees Community Health Team.

The applicant must be self-motivated, value-led, friendly, and have a flexible and kind approach. It is essential that you have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to take notes, formulate reports, and dictate letters. Time management and organisational skills are essential to organise your own workload and, at times, that of others.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a responsive attitude, and good IT skills. You will work at the clinic area reception, take calls, and transfer/cascade information to relevant people.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the MDT following processes and systems.
  • Uphold the Trust's values and maintain confidentiality.
  • Join an established admin team; work as part of a collaborative, self-motivated, and flexible group with strong organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate a calm, polite, and friendly demeanour; use problem-solving and creative approaches when helpful.
  • Manage calendars, plan and arrange meetings, input minutes and audio/digital typing, and order ward supplies as allocated.
  • Take initiative to meet deadlines, prioritise workloads, and work under pressure when required.

You should have excellent IT skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases) with good spelling and grammar.

  • Duties will include working with Microsoft Office, Teams, minute taking, audio/digital typing, and other admin tasks relevant to the team.
