University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking an Admin Team Lead to manage Therapies, Dietetics and Speech & Language Therapy admin services. Based mainly at Southampton General Hospital with monthly travel to Royal South Hants Hospital, the role may be full-time with flexible hours over a 5-day week.

The position offers NHS benefits, 35+ days holiday pro rata, and a generous pension scheme. Closing date is 5 November 2026, with possible early closure if applications are high.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent across admin procedures and non-routine tasks.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience in customer-focused administration.
• Experience resolving non-routine problems and allocating resources.
• Experience delivering training.
• Previous experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Competent with ESR and Healthroster.
• Supervisory or office management experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead, manage and develop a responsive administrative service for Therapies, Dietetics and SLT.
• Manage day-to-day administrative teams, rostering, annual leave and sickness.
• Oversee outpatient waiting lists, clinic management and income streams.
• Collaborate with the Care Group Operations Manager to ensure smooth patient referrals and discharge.
• Ensure adherence to Trust HR policies and procedures.
• Monitor data quality and reporting.
• Support service development and innovation through effective administration.
