Job description

Our client, HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

From some of the most vulnerable people in our society to families in crisis, claimants, and commercial businesses, HMCTS has a responsibility to administer an accessible and efficient justice system.

Brook Street is recruiting for an Admin Officer to work in Loughborough city centre.

This is a temporary position until 11/05/2026, offering valuable exposure and experience within the Public Sector.

37 hours per week, between 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Pay rate: £12.36 per hour, increasing to £12.53 after 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer service via telephone
  • Progress cases through the Court/Tribunal system and support other HMCTS functions
  • Problem solving using guidelines and hubs
  • Input data into the system
  • Prepare papers
  • Create and update records
  • Email correspondence
  • General administrative duties
