Job description

Our client, HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently, from vulnerable individuals to families in crisis, claimants, and commercial businesses.

Brook Street is recruiting for an Admin Officer to work in Loughborough city centre.

This is a temporary position until 11/05/2026, offering valuable exposure and experience within the Public Sector.

The role is 37 hours per week, between 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Pay rate is £12.36 per hour, increasing to £12.53 per hour after 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer service via telephone
  2. Progress cases through the Court/Tribunal system and support other functions in HMCTS
  3. Problem solving, referring to problem-solving hubs and guidelines
  4. Inputting data onto the system
  5. Preparing papers
  6. Creating and updating records
  7. Managing email correspondence
  8. General administration duties
