Job description

Admin Officer Location: Bristol (Horizon House, Deanery Road, BS1 5AH)

  • Pay rate: £13.47 per hour
  • Working pattern: 37 hours, Mon-Fri
  • Attendance: 6 weeks full office attendance, then hybrid with at least 60% office attendance
  • Training:
  • initially 6 weeks (no holidays during the first 6 weeks due to training)
  • Assignment: until 04/12/26, with possibility of extension
  • Clearance: Basic DBS required

Our Client is hiring an Admin Officer (AO) in Bristol to provide day-to-day administrative and customer support, working closely with teams across Great Britain and helping deliver against set timeframes and performance targets.

What you'll be doing:
  • Work collaboratively with remote teams to support the delivery of core business activities, in line with agreed timescales and targets
  • Keep records accurate and up to date, including data inputting using relevant IT systems
  • Take responsibility for a set of administrative procedures, ensuring actions are completed within the required timescales
  • Provide office and business support to your immediate team (and wider team when needed), including:
  • meeting organisation and notetaking
  • training course organisation
  • mailbox monitoring
  • Answer telephone queries and follow up enquiries that need further attention
  • Accurately note call details on customer records, update databases, and produce paperwork as part of the process
  • Identify issues that may affect delivery and elevate appropriately to your Line Manager
  • Stay flexible and adapt to changing office needs, taking on additional tasks when required
  • Support and guide others on procedures (internally and externally)
  • Liaise with stakeholders, delivery partners, and customers to understand needs-such as arranging tests with farmers and local veterinary practices
  • Respond to requests from the public for information and provide accurate, timely guidance
  • Update information held on systems to ensure customer data is accurate
  • Manage customer expectations with empathy and clarity
