Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is recruiting an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join a neurodevelopmental service delivering ADHD/Autism assessments across the South West. This permanent hybrid role blends remote developmental history interviews with face-to-face clinic observations at EX1 3QS.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver diagnostic assessments for children and young people, writing up reports efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with neurodevelopmental experience.
• Neurodevelopmental practitioner experience with specialist training.
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Experience conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental assessments in children or adults.
• Experience in clinical settings with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health challenges.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and diagnostic tools for Autism/ADHD.
• Ideally trained in ADOS-2/ADI-R.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in report writing and record keeping.
• Additional qualifications in Autism and/or ADHD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive face-to-face specialist assessments including diagnostic assessments for Autism/ADHD using established tools.
• Assessments of mental health conditions may also be required.
• Write up assessment reports in a timely and professional manner.
• Produce accurate, high-quality clinical reports and formulations using smart tools.
• Meet service KPIs through effective caseload management.
• Provide clinical supervision where applicable.
• Travel to clinic bases for in-person assessments (hybrid role).
