Job Advert - Division Information

An opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified and accredited Addictions Therapist with experience in delivering group therapy to join our team supporting our Addiction Treatment Programme in a private acute mental health setting.

We offer an intensive, abstinence-based programme with high levels of group therapy and a strong emphasis on aftercare support.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience, be familiar with abstinence-based treatment principles, and hold at least a Level 5 Diploma in counselling or a relevant professional qualification in addictions. Full BACP accreditation is required.

This part-time role involves facilitating specialist psycho-educational and relapse prevention therapy groups, conducting individual sessions, and completing assessments and treatment plans for patients referred to our addictions service.

Our service is supported by a friendly multidisciplinary team, with regular supervision, staff support groups, and annual appraisals. Good communication skills and a flexible approach are essential.

Applications from those working towards BACP accreditation within the next six to 12 months will be considered, with a revised salary banding of £27,810-£36,050 pro-rata (depending on experience) until full accreditation is achieved.

The successful candidate should be available to work on Thursday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional rotational Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is a private 46-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults, located on the edge of London in Hayes, Kent. It provides care for patients with various mental health issues, including addiction and eating disorders. The hospital is well-connected by transport and has local parking.
