Overview

Get involved with Bi Pride UK as the Volunteer Head of Legal, a key role supporting our efforts to create safe and inclusive Pride spaces for people attracted to more than one gender. Your legal expertise will help shape our policies, contracts, and internal documents to better serve our community.

Impact

Your work will directly influence over 1,300 participants in our Pride events and reach tens of thousands more through local Pride celebrations and online platforms. By addressing issues like biphobia and bi-erasure, you'll help foster a safer environment for all community members.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Legal Trustee and other department heads to oversee legal matters.
  • Review and draft contracts with vendors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Develop and update internal policies and risk assessments.
  • Build and manage a volunteer legal team, including recruitment and oversight.
  • Support organizational compliance and legal risk management.
Candidate Profile
  • Passionate about improving visibility and fighting discrimination against people attracted to more than one gender.
  • Some legal training or experience, such as a law degree or related work, with interest in charity law.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, managing multiple priorities.
