Teach Plus Limited is seeking Ad Hoc SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Newham and Tower Hamlets. The role offers flexible, ad hoc supply with opportunities for occasional days, short-term assignments, or additional hours alongside existing commitments.

You will provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with SEND, help access classroom learning, and assist teachers with lessons while adhering to safeguarding policies and building positive relationships with pupils.

Qualifications

  • Previous UK school experience is desirable.
  • SEN experience is highly advantageous.
  • Experience supporting autism, ADHD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour would be beneficial.
  • Reliable and flexible approach.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Patient and adaptable personality.
  • Ability to quickly establish positive relationships.
  • Valid DBS on the Update Service is desirable.

About the role and school

Teach Plus are currently looking for reliable and experienced Ad Hoc SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Newham and Tower Hamlets.

This is an ideal opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work, whether you are available for occasional days, short-term assignments or additional work alongside existing commitments.

Assignments may involve 1:1 support, small-group interventions or general classroom support depending on the individual school's requirements.

The successful Ad Hoc SEN Teaching Assistant will be confident entering different school environments, quickly building relationships with pupils and providing consistent support at short notice.
