Job summary

NHS Dumfries & Galloway is seeking a proactive Team Leader to guide Acute & Diagnostic Administration Services, overseeing day-to-day line management and operational support while driving staff development and service improvements.

You will manage workloads, recruitment, training, and workforce planning, coordinating with senior managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver a high-quality patient-focused admin service.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting administration teams within Acute & Diagnostic Services.
• Co-ordinating workloads, rotas and service cover to maintain high standards of service delivery.
• Supporting recruitment, induction, training, supervision and development of staff.
• Managing annual leave, sickness absence and workforce planning.
• Supporting service redesign and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working closely with senior managers, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Resolving issues, managing competing priorities and responding to operational pressures.
• Contributing to the delivery of a modern, patient-focused administration service.
