Job summary

Quantum Care is a not-for-profit organisation seeking an Activity Care Assistant to join the QClub Day Centre team at Willow Court in Harpenden. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care and support residents to maintain independence and engagement.

The role is part-time (22.5 hours per week) with weekday and alternative weekend shifts. Full induction training and ongoing development opportunities are provided in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Activity Care Assistant

Contract: Part Time- Perm

Hour: 22.5 hours per week

Pay: £13.61 per hour weekdays & £14.61 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 9am – 5pm– Weekdays and alternative Weekends

Location: Aldwickbury Crescent, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, AL5 5SD

We are seeking an Activity Care Assistant to join our QClub Day Centre team at Willow Court in Harpenden. Willow court is an 81 bed residential care home Located in a quiet residential area of Harpenden, it offers beautiful landscaped gardens, a welcoming café, hair and beauty salon, and excellent amenities for residents and staff alike.

As an Activity Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person‑cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first‑class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365‑day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.
• Have good computer skills

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver a variety of engaging activates and social events for residents
