Job summary

Haven Holidays in Scotland is seeking an Activities & Pool Manager for Cockenzie and Port Seton. You will lead the Activities & Leisure team, drive guest experiences, and manage budgets and schedules to deliver memorable poolside and activity experiences.

The role is full-time and permanent, with a focus on safety, staff development, and continuous improvement. PPO/SPTO certificates are preferred, training provided, and a DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in sports, leisure, or hospitality.
• PPO and SPTO certificates preferred but not essential; training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support the team to deliver excellent service and achieve targets.
• Ensure top-tier guest satisfaction by addressing concerns, improving service, and driving a welcoming atmosphere.
• Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
• Oversee team scheduling, budgets, and resources to maximise efficiency and meet business needs.
• Ensure operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Quickly resolve operational issues to maintain smooth day-to-day running.
• Support team development through ongoing training, mentoring, and growth opportunities.

In this role,you'llbe at the heart of an energetic Activities & Leisure team, leading with clear direction and plenty of motivation.You'llinspire your team to hit their goals and keep uphigh standardsby showing them howit’sdone!You'llbe hands-on with performance, offering feedback to help your team grow, tackling any challenges, and supporting their development. Managing resources like budgets and tools will be key to keeping things running smoothly.You'llalso be the driving force behind fantastic guest experiences, continuously improving how we interact and solving any issues that pop up. Plus,you'llmake sure everything stays safe, compliant, and on point with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Proven experience in roles such as Swimming Pool Manager, Activities & Leisure Manager, or a similar leadership position in Sports,Leisureor Hospitality.
• PPO and SPTO certificates preferred but not essential; training and support will be provided.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilemaintainingattention to detail.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Experience in budgeting andfinancial management.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This opportunity requires the new candidate to undergo, and satisfactorily complete, an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.
