Job summary

Floryn House Care Home in Yarnton, Oxfordshire, is seeking an Activities Lead to develop and deliver a high-quality, person-centred activities programme for residents, including those living with dementia. You will lead group and one-to-one activities and build relationships to promote participation and wellbeing.

Working with the Home Manager and team, you will ensure activities are well organised, aligned with care plans, and records kept; the role includes weekend work on alternate weekends

Qualifications

• Experience as an Activities Coordinator or similar role is essential (from ad).
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities and events.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Creative and proactive approach to activities planning.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a high-quality, person-centred activities programme.
• Plan and lead both group and one-to-one activities tailored to individuals.
• Maintain accurate records and align activities with individual care plans.
• Work closely with Home Manager and team to ensure activities are well organised and engaging.
• Alternate weekends work is required.
