Job summary

Riverwell Beck Care Home, on Durdar Road, Blackwell, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enrich residents' daily lives. The role focuses on creating meaningful activities, sharing compassion, and supporting wellbeing through engaging programs.

Experience in care is preferred, but training and support are provided. You will join a dedicated team with opportunities to develop skills and build lasting relationships with residents and their families.

Qualifications

  • Experience or exposure to caring roles is preferred.
  • Ability to plan activities tailored to residents.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Get to know each resident personally and build life stories into activities.
  • Plan and deliver a calendar of group activities, one-to-one moments and events.
  • Encourage participation to support social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
  • Help residents stay connected with family and community.
  • Take photos of events for newsletters and social media.

Pay Rate: £13.66 per hour

Hours: 12 hours per week

Are you friendly, compassionate and creative? As an Activities Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in the lives of our residents, helping to make every day meaningful and joyful. Ideally, we are looking for someone to have care experience, but we know people from other walks of life can become the very best in this type of role - so whether you've done this before or are just starting out, we'll be with you every step of the way with all the training and support you need.

What You'll Do

In this fast-paced role, no two days are the same. You will:

  • Get to know each resident personally, building their life stories into meaningful activities.

  • Motivate and encourage residents to join in with activities that enhance social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
  • Support residents to maintain strong connections with family, friends and the local community.
  • Take photos of events for newsletters and social media.
