Job summary

Penrose Care Home in Biggleswade is seeking an Activities Coordinator to create and run engaging, person-centred activities for residents, including those living with dementia. You will plan group and one-to-one sessions, tailoring them to individual interests and abilities, while promoting wellbeing and social interaction.

The role welcomes both experienced candidates and newcomers to care, with training and support provided to help you grow in the position.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in activities or similar role is beneficial; hospitality/event/community experience welcome.

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents.
• Promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction through activity delivery.
• Build strong relationships with residents and the care team to understand preferences.
