Job summary

Dimensions (UK) Ltd is seeking a caring, proactive Support Worker to join our established team in Eastleigh, supporting a gentleman in his own supported living home. He has autism and learning disabilities; understanding how he communicates and building trust will be key.

Your role includes meal prep, shopping, personal care, supporting with medication, encouraging activities he enjoys, helping maintain independence and taking a proactive, person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Must be patient and attentive with the ability to build trust.
• Comfortable working independently and 1:1 with limited supervision.
• Willingness to support with medication as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation, shopping and other household tasks.
• Provide personal care and support with medications.
• Encourage and support activities the gentleman enjoys.
• Help maintain independence and make choices.
• Take a proactive, creative approach to support.
• Provide 1:1 support, including lone working.
