Job summary

Dimensions in Stevenage is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide 1:1 assistance to a gentleman in his 30s who lives independently. The role includes day-to-day living support, meal preparation, and medication administration.

You will promote independence, encourage engagement in activities, and maintain a person-centred approach at all times. Shifts are usually from 7.30am to 10.30pm with a sleep-in and a 37.5-hour week, based in Stevenage.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Positive, person-centred approach valued.
• Good communication and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support 1:1 with day-to-day living tasks.
• Meal preparation and medication administration (creams, inhalers).
• Provide prompts with personal care when required.
• Promote independence and help the gentleman pursue his interests and goals.
• Deliver person-centred support focusing on strengths and choice.
