Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Daventry is recruiting a Postie to deliver letters and parcels. This fixed term role (9 months) involves 37 hours per week, a rotating shift including Sundays, and driving a Royal Mail van in the local area.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and a reliable schedule with weekends rotated. The role requires a full UK manual driving licence and physical fitness to walk long distances in all weather.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically capable of long walking distances and lifting mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weathers
