Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Sandhurst is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will sort mail at the delivery office and deliver by van and on foot in the local area, with a 37-hour week on a rotating 9-day fortnight and weekend shifts.

You'll need a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit to walk long distances and lift mailbags, and be reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused. Full training provided and a red Royal Mail van.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and customer-focused in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weathers.
