Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Bristol is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract. The role involves delivering letters and parcels, walking long distances, and driving a Royal Mail van on a rotating schedule that includes Sundays. Training, a uniform, and a red van are provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused and proud to deliver great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
