Job summary

Royal Mail in Gosport is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 6-month placement. You will deliver letters and parcels, spend time walking and driving a Royal Mail van, and work on a rotating schedule including weekends.

Role emphasizes staying active, building relationships with customers, and delivering a reliable service in all weather conditions. Full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van are provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused with pride in service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
