Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Sandhurst. You will join a fixed-term 12-month contract, delivering letters and parcels in your local area, with a rotating shift pattern and weekend work as required.

Training is provided, and you will operate in all weather conditions from a Royal Mail van and on foot. The role requires a full UK manual driving licence (6 points max), physical fitness for long walks and lifting 10kg+ mailbags, and reliability with a customer-focused

Qualifications

• Must hold a full manual UK driving licence with maximum 6 penalty points.
• physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and work Sundays on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weathers.
• Deliver a high volume of mail on a rotating schedule.
